JL3 Privacy: What You Share When You Read These Pages
This page explains what happens to your information while you read this JL3 reference site, and what changes when you leave it through one of its buttons. It is short because the site asks for very little.
What this site asks you for
Nothing. There is no account to create here, no sign-up, no newsletter box, no comment form and no chat. You can read every page, from the lane pages to the glossary, without typing a single detail about yourself. The site does not ask for your name, your mobile number, your e-wallet or your password, and you should never type any of those into a page that claims to be this site.
What the web host records
Like every website, this one is delivered by a web host, and a web host sees the ordinary details of each request so it can send the page back: the address of the page asked for, the time, the network address the request came from and the type of browser that made it. Those records exist so the site can run and be protected from abuse. This site does not use them to build a profile of you, and it sells nothing about its readers.
Cookies and tracking
The pages here are built to work without a login, so the site has no account cookie to set. Your own browser lets you see and clear any data a site stores; Chrome and Safari both keep that under their privacy settings, and clearing it does not break anything you read here.
When you follow a Register or Login button
The Register and Login buttons on these pages, and the Play buttons on the game cards, open the JL3 lobby. That lobby is a different website run by a different party. From the moment it loads, what you type there, such as a username, a password or wallet details, is handled under the lobby’s own terms, not this site’s. The button carries a referral marker so the lobby can see which site sent you; this site earns a referral fee when a reader registers that way, as the about page explains.
Your choices
- Read without following any button, and nothing leaves this site but the request details above.
- Clear your browser’s site data whenever you like.
- Before typing anything on the lobby, check its address and its name on the page.
The terms of use set out how these pages may be used, and the contact page explains how to raise a correction about something written here.
